Why Millennials are Migrating Towards Online Courses?

The Millennials house enormous potential and constitute a major fraction of the workforce across the globe. We can sketch out a view of where does this generation stands in the present market scenario, with the data that almost half of the entire U.S. workforce is made up of the millennials. The rapidly advancing technology brings along a sharp drift in market demand. As a result, the millennials need to speed and scale up with the continuously shifting industry trends and demands.
Being projected to such humongous market demand, the millennials now know no rest. No more curtained is the fact that the traditional education system is a faulty one, with outdated, slow, and least interactive curriculums being the primary loopholes.
There are many reasons which stand in support of the migration of millennial enrolment tendencies from traditional to the online education system.  Let’s talk about them in detail.

Universities aren’t exploring, and are strictly adhered to the basic lecture model. The lagging traditional model lacks interaction, feedback, and two-way communication between the teachers and the students. While modern education system has a strong faith in the fact that ‘exchanging views imparts the best knowledge', the traditional University curriculum has relatively lesser room for feedback and opinion sharing, leaving the regular offline students to suffocate with an inability to share intriguing thoughts and ideas, and improvisation feedbacks.
Off the regular phenomenon comes the online courses with options for regular feedback, discussion community, and round the clock doubt clearing portals allowing advanced interaction and enhanced learning.

Walking hand in hand with the constantly updating technologies is a challenge for the Universities. Migrating the entire University system over a new technological model is not a cup of tea, and demands an extensive period for the success of the same. But when we look upon the online education model, the dependency of the entire system over modern technicalities answers the concern for updating the mechanisms with the rapid advancements.

Millennials aim at easily accessible, quick, in-budget, and effective courses that can make them industry ready in absolutely no time. The generation is always on their phones and hand-held devices, thus lifetime access to all-device-friendly content and study materials is a cherry on the cake! Moreover, the millennials want to access remarkable, competent mentorship who can not only shape up the curriculum abided knowledge, but also can assist them to achieve an overall market experience and assistance.

What does the future of education landscape hold?
The traditional education system would be swapped by the online model, to a fraction of more than half. The marriage of technology and education system will give birth to a data-driven model, wherein the improvisations and betterments would be an outcome of what students and learners want. Leveraging cloud technology will bring the up-to-date study materials right in front, wherever and whenever the learner wants.

Easily accessible and highly affordable courses would offer equal educational opportunities for students from all the economic backgrounds. This would further be hiking up the job-readiness of more masses, especially the millennials, reducing unemployment, and producing a more educated workforce.
